Kathy Thompson is an amateur photographer who enjoys photographing landscapes, wildlife, horses, and anything nature.  A lifetime love and enjoyment of the outdoors led to activities that included skiing, backpacking, long distance equestrian trail riding, and more recently photography.  She became fascinated with the Jackson Hole area when she visited several times in the early 1970s and although residing in Florida, she regularly visits Jackson Hole and the western states. 

 

Kathy’s professional career has followed a number of paths, first as a computer system analyst working for the Department of Defense for 25 years.  After an early retirement, she obtained a health care license with certification in Cranio Sacral Techniques from the Upledger Institute.

 

Now fully retired, she has spent the last 5 years developing her camera skills in an attempt to combine her long-time interest in the creative arts with her love of nature.  She is a member of several camera organizations and clubs and has been honored with Certificates of Award for photographic excellence.  Her photos have won awards in the Florida Forest Service photo contests and been displayed on their website and FB pages.  She looks forward to further enhancing her photographic skills and enjoying her time in nature with her camera.
